I am looking for around 12:1 Cr. I am wondering if this is a reliable setup? I will be daily driving the car in the spring,summer, and fall. I will be having the car Dyno tuned, I will be the only LS-Vtec Automatic in Michigan. And before i hear the people say do a 5 speed swap, I cant because of health reasons.

I am open to sugestions on how to make this setup better, I am also open to criticism.

dude… Automatic. No way man. Dont do it. Just get a b16 cable tranny or something for like 400 bux. I wouldnt say its to reliable for daily driving. 12 : 1 that is quite alot for daily. But those pistons wont make it 12:1 anyways.

If you read my post a little closer it says that i CAN NOT do a 5 speed swap due to health reasons(Arthritis and a bad knee). Oh and with the head gasket and the head work i am doing yes it will yield around 12:1 like i said.

well, if ur using gsr-r cams, retain ur oem im (pr3 or p30) and ditch the w/p intake. stock rods are fine, just upgrade the rod bolts. u don’t need the arp main bolts, or p72 girdle. and u probably don’t know whats required to install it (parts and labour) and, that header is very weak. with that being said, a basic b20v build is probably ur best option. u’ll get the best all round motor (wtq & whp) and, seeing that ur staying auto, u can run it to the 7200-7500rpm range of an auto ecu without having to worry much.

ya, i am keeping the b18b. I already have it, I dont want to go and spend more than i had planned. my expected total is $1500. i have had most of the parts for a few months. The head I am getting doesnt come with another intake so it will be hard for me to retain the OEM one. I know that header is weak, but it will get me till i can afford a An-R header. as far as the W/P it was just a thought. I also was thinking about making my own custom aluminium Filter box(I work for a SCCA race car builder). I have access to anything i need to custom build just about anything i can think of. I am glad that you weren’t a person that said “just do a 5 speed swap”. I will eventually go with a B20Vtec build. But I am making due with what i have in my budget.

as for the intake, u souldn’t have a hard time obtaining one. (i prefer the p30 im). up here, people give p30 im’s away. so, u shouldn’t have a problem finding one

my brother and i swapped a B16 in his auto 3rd gen integra…ran it with and auto chipped(i’m guessing) P28…
