my 93 ls has 120k on it and im considering doing a gsr head. my car is a daily driver and i drive it hard. should i have any concerns for the long run???

i wouldnt say so. just do a complete re-build and you should be fine. btw where in CT are you? and is there anything done to your teg?

im from stratford, im in milford alot. ive done a little work mostly cosmetic. aem cai, thermal exaust, short shifter, dc header on order. wings west big mouth kit and comando wing, 17" showguns. altezzas ,reverse indaglos, and all the little sh*t i cant remember off the top of my head.

lol nice burn out pic. d oyou work at pruven performance? and if so what are the dyno rates? and do they include tuning

do a search for ls/vtec. there is a lot of info on this board about it. If you don’t build it right (strengthen the bottom end a lot) then yeah, you’re gonna have a lot of problems (especially if you drive it hard).

I think I’ve seen that car down the street from Pruven before…

Dave…from Pruven’s website…here are the costs for dyno tunight

                $100/hr (Air/Fuel Not Included)
                $35/hr additional for Air/Fuel
(Tailpipe Sniffer, weld-in bung not needed)

I dunno if the prices have changed or if they’ve updated their site. My friend Matt (w/ the red supra) used to work down there and he mentioned to me the other day that the dyno had broke but they were getting it repaired. And I know from talking to him, that the dyno time is a little more difficult to get. It can range from anywhere to a few days after you call, to like 2-3 weeks down the road. It all depends on what Dan is doing w/ his race car on weekends and where he is racing, etc. Great guys down there to work with. Despite what some people may say, Pruven definitely has a very very very good understanding of what they are doing. BTW…if at first when you talk to/meet Dan, don’t let it discourage you if he seems like he is being a dick. He comes across as one, but he’s really not. I’ve been down there for 2 dyno’s…and I’m not sure if it was just cause it was Al or not, but they let him drive his car on the dyno. But from what I understand, they normally will drive it on there. And 1 person (excluding the driver) is allowed in the bay I believe for safety purposes.

Good luck dude…here’s the number down there

yeah my cars always parked down the street at modern performance
