Yea, My b16a head has been milled before… I think the guy at the machine shop will find out how much it has been milled… let’s put it this way… the combustion chambers are not round anymore they have little places where they milled down to where the valves sit… They said it’s probably not much but my question is once I find out how much is milled off… I wonder what type of cams I can run without having things like valves hitting the tops of my pistons… Bye the way I have 11.5:1 JE pistons…
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED
Maybe I can figure out how much lift/ etc the cams I want have and then how much lift I can use before they start touching… I don’t know.
It just means you’re posting a message so your thread will go back to the top of the forum so more people will see it and hopefully you’ll get your question answered.
So now… This message will be at the top.
Well… not really. the 2 important ones will be on top cuz they’re from the forum ops… Who might know something about piston/valve issues? hehe
I dunno I used that compresion calculator on C-Speed. :-/
Anyhow I got Cometic to make me a .064 think headgasket which will make up for everything plus the stock headgasket thickness so I’ll be right where I planned and I can run whatever cam I feel like long as it can run on ITR valvesprings and retainers.
Thanks everyone.
Harry
BTW, still looking for an OBD-1 VTEC Distributor I NEED ONE BAD LIKE SCHNELL!!! hahaha
