ls vtec with ls trans how will it run?

im wondering if anyone here has a time slip with their ls vtec with ls trans anyone. cuz i cant seem to find a b16 tranny , so if anyone here runs ls vtec or any vtec motor with an ls trans whats the pros and cons of it?

I don’t know what type of times you’ll run, but if you are going all motor, I wouldn’t use the LS transmission. Everytime you shift, you’ll fall out of VTEC. If you are planning on turboing the LSVtec, then go ahead and use the LS tranny, it’ll give you some nice tall gears.

Only plus I could see on using an LS tranny on an all motor LSVtec is that you could take it to a higher speed in 2nd gear and 3rd gear once the VTEC kicked in cause of the taller gears.

i know ill run slow cuz it wont stay in vtec everytime i shift ehhh this sucks

just depends where you redline and when vtec kicks in, if its under 7 youre in trouble, at 8 grand you’ll barely make it if your cross over is around 5600, back in the day when i did my first lsvtec i was hittin 14.6 in my g2 w/ the ls/tranny. intense is right though dont use unless you plan on going turbo.

Brutal…trust me ive had one since my lsvtec build up and it sucks!..unless you have the motor to rev up to 8k then you’ll just fall into vtec say having it set at about 5200rpm…i just recently as of yesterday got my JDM S1 tranny put in and its a big difference.

14.6 wtf on street tires or slicks? what exactly is your set up? and what ecu you ran? and where was your vtec cross over obviously you redlined at 8 grand… damn i wish i can hit those numbers…
