Saw this stock diffirential w/LSD phanton on local craigslist, I don’t know much about LSD. I assume it can go in a 91 tranny, but would there be a benefit?
Some good LSD info would be appreciated as well…
The stock LSD’s are not very good from my experience. I replaced it with a Synchrotech and love it.
before you go and buy just any random lsd ask if its for your tranny and ask for paper work or verify part numbers. also verify if its a sir or gsr LSD, I had a jdm y1 91 tranny and it seems like only the B16a sir LSD fits in the ls case. something to do with the counter shaft on the 91 being shorter than the 92
if you want a LSD look for a cable tranny w LSD in it or convert to a hydro LSD tranny or last find a jdm y1 LSD tranny
Also make sure the ring gear is the right one.
