most people already said what i was going to say. i have personal experiance with a maaco, it only lasted for about six months, tried to buff it and the paint came off. like some one mentioned YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR…
really idk i was lost on what color to go with either silver green or gold so its basically all in one color i dnt know how long it lasted since i no longer own the car but i have the stock mirror and it still shine like the day i picked it up
well… im majoring in auto body repair and from what ive seen an heard, if you dont do the prep work yourself youll get hosed. they dont do a good job taping up modlings and things and after time the clear coat will start to peel around those areas. its cheap for a reason and you get what you pay for. but if you want a really nice paint job yer looking at spending a grand. not to mention the price of materials. im painting my car at my school.

My paint job is from maaco, now the only thing is I work there. So I used all the expensive stuff and the best stuff we carry. I used about $1500 worth of materials and I also spent several hours stripping everything off of the car so none of my window moulding or nothing got paint on them. Also after the car was sanded i washed the entire car and let it dry off for a day or so before it got painted. Now onto some pics, imma try to take better pictures once its sunny out.
The guys at Maaco and Earl Shieb are typically pretty good with a spray gun, they do that all the time, and a good even coat w/o any drips is going to be the most important thing for them to focus on so that the customer is happy immediately. If paint chips or fades later they aren’t likely to complain, or even have the car anymore. I wouldn’t trust them with prep work, and I would only trust them with a minimal amount of the most basic masking.
i had my car painted over 2 years ago and no chips on the front bumper my paint job is still crispy …and as i speak my cars at maaco right now im getting the whole car respray for 650 there hooking me up with a deal because i dropped 899 last time…all maaco’s are different
