Maaco paint jobs

Shizzat. I really dunno. Maybe they have their own on-site formula or mix or something along those lines :stuck_out_tongue: Your paint might also be better quality?

That’s what I’m getting at.

you know they don’t use top of the line paint.

materials alone to paint the gsr milano red was gonna be close to $1500 and that was with my buddy’s discount at the paint store he works at, i think it was either dupont or ppg.

My grand father use to be pres of dupont :stuck_out_tongue: Useless fact.

But I seen time and time again… for showroom quality, you don’t go to maaco, but for a decent DD paint… its the place to go?

They use cheap fleet paint, which is acrylic rather than urethane. Urethane paint lasts longer and the quality is much better. Some of these cars that were painted at maaco may look good or decent in pictures, but i bet seeing them in person i could point out many flaws or half-assed jobs that i would dislike very much. They paint cars very fast, just in a few days. They don’t disassemble much and get overspray all over the place (window moldings- they just tape it up instead of taking them off and paint under them so paint flaking does not occur, wheel wells…etc). You get what you pay for!

bump for the black tegs with really nice paint:)

gotta get mines done soon
