I’ve heard horror stories and i’ve heard good stories…
anyone got pics of there Maaco painted cars?
look for a pic of crazyseaman’s car. his was painted at maaco. came out pretty nice for a cheap paintjob IMO
maaco, 500 dollar package
^ Wow. How does the paint on that car look now?
$400 + $250 prep work Maaco job, 2 years later. It has some flaws, particularly around the doors of the car. But it’s not noticable unless you’re looking for it.
IDK, it got stolen and never seen agian. Devlins91ls old car, he doesnt post here anymore.
i need some touch ups, any one have pics of not the whole car painted?
if not i’ll just have them do the whole car.
wow those cars look good!
it really depends on where you go. they’re all independently owned and operated so there can be a huge difference in quality even between two shops in the same city. the best thing to do would be to go in and ask to see some of the cars they’ve gotten done that are still sitting there waiting to be picked up.
Maaco paint job when I first got the car around May of 2007
Maaco paint job around October 2007
still good, haven’t really had any problems it was the $300 package!
300!! wow looks real nice
Man those paint jobs look really nice. My car needs a repainting soon.
yea these look pretty good. My car got repainted before I bought it, it looks pretty good from the front and side but quarter panels-back it gets kinda orange peely. Not really noticeable unless you look at your reflection.
I might want to repaint soon.
keep em coming guys!
bump.
need some more to keep it going

sold, im going there- good thing i have my own Acura aztec pearl green to give them.
Basically from what I’ve heard/ Know of from friends who got macco jobs. Strip and primer the car yourself…if your doing a paintjob that seems really cheap like that, then they most likely will not do that kinda bodywork. My friend had his front bumper painted, the bumper was originally red and was to be painted the DC graphite gray. A week later the paint was pealing and the red was showing.
I’ve also heard that they do a crappy job of covering moldings/masking and sometimes exhaust systems come back the color of the car. Moral of the story, get everything ready for them yourself and let them just spray and clear
Moral of the story, if you want a show quality paint job, don’t go to macco. If you want a daily driver paintjob thats better than your rust bucket then macco is your friend.
