the only reason macco does a bad job on cars is cause ppl buy the cheapest paint jobs they offer. they vary form 200-500. i did all the body work my self and bougth my own paint (i heard they use bad paint which cause cracking).i bought the 400 paint job and looks good so far. just cause ppl by the 150 dollar job then 2 yrs down they are like “why is the paint fading macco sux”!
they use Dupont paint.I know many car manufacturer’s body shops use Dupont
It’s really not about the paint, it’s more about the primer and surface prep they do. It doesen’t matter how good the paint is if it has nothing but crap to stick to. I did the top of the line $700 package on my 300zx and after only a few months the paint was chipping off of the mouldings and corners, plus they did some repairs on some tiny rust spots on the rear hatch and the paint was bubbling almost immediately. I took it in for the warranty repairs and they just sprayed it over with new paint and didn’t fix a damn thing and I had to go back in a week. They didn’t do anything except respray over the old paint again and again. Total BS.
