where r the drains for the coolant? i suppose there’ll be 1 at the bottom of the radiator, but is there 1 on the engine block somewhere?
how do i get the bubbles out of the cooling system, i suppose there’ll be a bleeder valve of sorts on the engine somewhere. do i need attach a hose onto it?
what’s a good tranny oil?
where is the fill and drain bolts?
anyone in the chicago area with a timing gun i could borrow?

ANSWERS:
antifreeze works for me. 50/50 mixture with water.
Drain **** at bottom of radiator. There is also one on the block. To the left the exhaust manifold, a big bolt is there.
The Bleeder valve is on the head, under to the distributor area. Put a hose on it if you wish.
HONDA MTF is recommended
Fill and drain bolts are located on the passenger side of the tranny, at the end of the tranny housing.
i was actually talking about transmission oil for my manual, what is mtf? r u talking about power steering fluid? just trying to clarify here … the owner’s manual said motor oil, which i thought was weird … i was going to drop in some redline mt90, has anyone tried that?

mtf = manual transmission fluid
yes, honda recommends regular motor oil for our transmissions, however for the newer trannies the say to use honda mtf… most of the people here put mtf in their trannies opposed to normal motor oil…thats what i did.
oh, and get a manual, your questions about where drain plugs are and how to bleed air out of the coolant system are better answered there…plus you get to see pics and get to familiarize yourself with your manual and your car more. i’d recommend always trying there first, most likely you’ll get your answers faster.
