I like the look. My friend did his on his DA a while back. He said he thought the lights were not as bright after being blacked out , what do you think?

The light output goes down by a lot. I think that maybe if you used some super gloss paint it might be better? Not sure, but it MIGHT work.
The light output doesnt go down, unless you painted the wrong parts.
^^ exactly, theirs no reason why it should go down at all unless the actual reflective areas are painted. i’ve done this to several vehicles and just to add to bad2genteg’s write up, you should sand down the area that will be painted lightly for the paint to hold better. also, bad2genteg, you mentioned to use a “Black Gloss” paint, why is that? would a flat black paint do the job as well?

has anyone ever done this on 3 pieces, like the headlight and the fog separately? wouldn’t it pretty much come out the same?
