I have heard of getting (I believe it’s called) a manual steering rack. Comes out of a civic or something, I don’t remember. Basically my PS motor is leaking oil and I don’t feel like replacing it. And since I might have to pull my now blown tranny out, I figured I would have the time and space to swap it over (if possible). And I don’t mean the top pump that has the belt, I mean the other one at the bottom of the car. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but I know it’s PS, and I want to get rid of it. Hoping I can take some of the stress off my motor too and clean the bay up a little more. Anyways if you guys can point me in the right direction and give some advice I would really appreciate that. If i understand correctly, you want to completely delete your PS??
You will need to replace the hydraulic steering and get a mechanical steering from a Civic… I think the civic 91 works
