Okay, many people have said: “EGR’s are only on Automatic transmissions.”
Well let me be the first to tell you I have a 93 LS MANUAL and my intake manifold has… Guess what? an EGR.
So my question is when I do this LS/VTEC… I’m using a DOHC-Chipped p28 because I’m OBD-1… Will that ECU look for an EGR? Also, do I hafta get a new engine harness?

Not possible. The EGR system is only found on the auto. Honda’s. What part convinces you that you have an EGR? To have a complete EGR sys. you need the EGR valve, valve lift sensor, vacuum control valve and the control solenoid. Most of which is found in the control box on the firewall of the auto’s above the fuel filter. What part are you stuck on and maybe I can help you out.
Well the acura Automotive parts diagram of my intake manifold says that the part is an EGR… A lot of ppl have told me it’s this, or that… it’s the big valve on runner closest to the distributor. it’s WAAAAAY WAY bigger than the TA sensor. held by two bolts (And they’re VERY hard to get out. I still haven’t yet)
Well that must have been what this guy did… he must’ve used the head from an auto or something… maybe he blew it sky high before I bought it… Good thing I got forged pistons/rods. hehe
Yea… thanks for the help but u totally missed teh point
I’m doin LS/VTEC and my new manifold doesn’t have an EGR but the old manifold did… And the EGR was even plugged into the engine harness.
So I’m just wondering if the chipped p28 ECU is gonna throw codes… But I guess we’ll just hafta find out.

Didn’t you do an auto-manual coversion? Did you also switch to a manual ECU as well?
