Hi everyone, may i ask?Actually DA series how low can go without sacrificing the handling?Example:axles damage, steering rack damage or upper control arm will hit the body???ETC…
Picture below is tein super street ride height adjustment for da9(copying from tein usa),everything should be fine if i follow it?THANKS
My presently setting;
Your question cannot be answered simply. It depends on MANY MANY other factors:
spring rate
shock design and amount of travel
UCA being used
alignment settings
tires
how the car is driven
where the car is driven
Plus, your question doesn’t even make sense. You wanted to know how low you can go before you affect handling in a negative fashion, but then you specified items like the axles. Handling is independent from damage done to axles. For instance, you may want to sacrifice added wear and tear on items like axles so that you can improve your car’s handling. Typically any amount of lowering will cause increased wear and tear on an item like axles. The amount of wear and tear is again dependent on many many other factors.
With all of that said, your pictured ride height looks very conservative. Assuming everything is being well maintained and you’re using quality parts I would not expect any significant negative effects due to that ride height.
i wouldn’t go any lower then you are now from a performance view. however you can go much lower then that if everything is adjusted properly and wear on parts won’t be much greater besides axles.

spring rate
> 10K/4.5K
shock design and amount of travel
> mono tube and long travel
UCA being used
> stock
alignment settings
> front camber 1.3 degree and zero toe
> rear camber 1.0 degree and zero toe
tires
> potenza re001 205/50/16(next target is re001 195/55/15 or 205/50/15)
how the car is driven
> normal
where the car is driven
> city drive and uphill/downhill drive, both have rough surface
I post out this question is because i saw a lot forumer low their car till look slammed and beauty…
But if this mod will effect directly to handling performance,
Then i will ignore it forever…
