Maybe a valve guide issue?

On cold startups my car makes a ticking noise for about one second. I thought that it was a valve adjustment issue, so I adusted them and it is still there. I was wondering what the noise could be?

It is only after the car has been sitting for a while and stops almost immediatly or when oil gets up to the head.

BTW I have a 92 GS-R…

Thanks!

The same thing happens on my GSR, but I never thought anything of it. Are you buring oil?

yea a little, but I do have 223,000 miles…

top!

BUELER?

this is the Integra Help forum right?

:stuck_out_tongue:

Is there part of the ABS system under the battery tray?:open_mouth:

Check your oil. If you oil is low it will make that kind of sound on cold starts. If its making that sound, then you’re low enough on oil that you need to add some. Check that and let us know.

No I have to keep real close tabs on the oil. I check it everytime I refill the broken radiator…:frowning:

It does it pretty much every cold start.
