I actually just joined NASA too…but I am in the midwest region. If you plan on doing Honda Challenge I hope you are building your car based on the rules/specs based on the class you choose. I wanted to do Honda Challenge too but gave up on the idea because of how strict the rules are and pretty much because no one competes in it in the midwest (maybe your area is better). I’m gonna try to aim for TT instead because it seems more easy on the rules and more competitive. Also, it might take you more then a year to get your racing liscense…unless you already have a lot of experience doing HPDE events.

haha yea its not close enough. I’m a little under 4’11". I can reach but then I can’t see very well. Damn big steering wheel. I was going to later on when I get some seats to just get my brackets made so the seat sits closer but thats dangerous having the seat so close to the steering wheel. So I might just have to do it the ugly way to race comfortably and to see the track.
Of course I am. Slowly of course. A lot of the classes are really strict. There actually no one that does Honda Challenge here I think…at least. Thats why I might do PT. They have a lot of restrictions too. But I have the rule book so I def know what the rules are. And plus all the guys at the shop race in NASA for years now also so they give me a lot of pointers. But if you do hopefully I’ll see you at nationals! Did you happen to go last year? To watch. Yea it depends how fast you move up during training. But we’ll see I’m hoping it’ll take me a year. cross fingers.

You think so? I’ve always wanted a pearl white DA. But red is nice too. I have body damage on and rust. So it needs body work. I already bought 700 worth of primer, base, paint and gloss. 
Theres this guy that owes me a good paint job. lol. but its hard to get in contact with him, thats if he didnt move to cali again.
I would personalize it and make it your own color. Once I am done with the body work on mine I am painting it base coat purple pearl with a candy pink top coat… hellz yeah bitches!!!

I really dont know yet. I’m not too worried about it right now. My focus is on other things right now so its not that big of a deal yet.

Mini- I actually meant “secure” as in keeping it from someone stealing it.I have had my 90 da for 13 years and would never let anything happen to it. just make sure to have a quality alarm install and a few kill switches,and try to park it in a garage overnight. Out here in california theft is real bad in the honda community. I hate to see anything happen to your ride.as too the other stuff I’m not Viet ,I’m chinese ,got some Viet friends though. well good start on your build keep going with it looks like quality work.

It’s true if the thieves really want the car they will take it,but i think if you got layers of security it makes it more difficult to take.you know if there are two cars to take of equal value then they pick the easier target.alarms are only as good as the person who installs them,also a tilt sensor helps too got to find someone trust worthy and never let them know where you live or work. kill switches and a clutch lock can slow them down even more.also try not to post too much of the car unfortunately there are a lot of lurkers out there.my 2 cents.now I willl step off my milk crate.
Thats cool…and its nice that you have people around you who can help you go in the right direction. I am just reading from NASA’s website and learning from that. I didn’t go to nationals last year…but I ran in two events last year: ITR EXPO 9 at Autobahn and WMHM 9 at Gingerman. It was great fun (esp getting a ride in King Motorsports RSX and Pure Tuning’s EK) and I hope that it qualifies me to go straight to HPDE 2 in NASA. Anyway, good luck with your build and maybe I will see you at nationals if I go.
