So ive been doing research on thing to do to my interior and i wanna add some sort of cup holder but i gotta keep a clean look ive seen the mod for the mercury cup holder but i have a double din so that wont work ive been looking at the EK center console and it looks like maybe with some cutting you could mount the cup holder right about the shifter just seeing if anyone tried this or maybe have some other options with pics please.

i dont see how a whole EK center console could fit either.
anyways you said you have a double din… puttin a cupholder in that area in front of the shifter will just block it.
either find a DA armrest with cupholders or just find some way to make your own.
sorry i was pretty tired when i made this last night and if youve seen the center console it sits flat above the shifter
see now why cant you cut out right about the shifter and possibly the ash tray and lighter and drop that it in?? And i dont see if covering the double din even when its open?? Just a thought

I was just thinking of something similar, but as was said, I am not sure of the depth below that pocket by the ashtray. I am just going to get a batch of fiberglass as soon as i finish up a couple small projects and see if I cant come up with anything practical. I am thinking that it would be easiest to make a new ebrake cover with cupholders integrated into it somehow.

Might be worth an idea to add some supports to the glove box indents to make them functional cupholders instead… that’s super clean cus you can’t see it when it’s not in use 
yeah but what could you do to them make them have some depth ?? you can cut them out because youll have to holes and if you add something on the top of it youll loose what little space in the glove box you have haha
imagine if that thing could slide out of the glove box… that would be nice.
i wouldnt mind giving up space in the glove box.

well you’ve seen the single DIN cupholders from ford or volvo or whatever.
something that would mount in the glovebox and basically pop out.
oh i gotcha hmm ill think about it i gotta get to the junk yard and see what i can find
