Monroe Sens-a-trac

I need new shocks and struts for my teg. I am on a budget $500 or under. I am going to have someone do it for me (I dont have the time or patience to do it or really the know how). I took it to Sears and they can do the Monroe Sens-a-trac for $437.39. I know that all the rubber things and stuff like that are in need of replacing. So my question is should I go with the Monroe Sens-a-trac? Has anyone used them, Pro/cons. Thanks for any input.

I’d get a set of Tokico Premiums for about $250 and have someone do the labor. Make sure you keep the warranty card too.

id ask how much labor is, then get some aftermarket shock w/ good reputation put in, for the same price as the monroes. maybe w/ adjustability.

the monroe will be a pure stock replacement, like an autozone shock. i dont know, theyre probably not bad but you coud probably find better.

if you were going to get monroes for that price, might as well get some tokico illuminas, KYB AGX’s or something like that which are better than the monroes.

The $437 is the shocks and struts installed.

thats what i figured. i meant to find what labor is if you bring in your own parts. then use the difference to find some reputable shocks to bring in yourself. then pay the same, less, or maybe a little more for quality shocks.

You can get Koni Yellows at Import Horizons for $530 w/ $25 shipping. I’d save up and go for those, heard nothing but good things about them.

Iwould recomend ANYTHING but. We got these from a local tire center for my wifes '95 Altima. The car, before, would feel some what sluggish but “connected” to the road. After, however, the car feels like it is floating. Not a good floating either. Going into a easy freeway ramp for example, the car feels like it on ice. Ready to slideout from underneath you. I’d go with KYB GR2 or the Tokico Blues.

What about these? Do you think NTB will put 'em on?

those look good

I think ebay has the same thing cheaper.
