are they any good, how do they sound. they are pretty cheap all i want to know is if they last. i dont want to buy it and then have to replace it like a couple months later because of rust or whatever. i might as well get an RS*R if its not any good.
If it’s made out of mild steel it will rust up, but you won’t have to replace it in a couple of months if that’s the case. My mild steel exhaust has been looking rusty for 2 years now.
I had one on my accord, and it has lasted for about 3 years now, and just starting to get bad when i need to replace it. I have to say for the price its a great stock replacement with larger piping, but it sounds like crap. Really really down sound bad, not just sayin’ it does, sounds lie a chainsaw or weedwacker. :giggle:
They sound awful. Weld in a resonator, and hopefully it won’t sound too bad. But yes, looks wise, its fine - soundwise, its terrible. It’s not super loud, its just really really raspy. Especially at higher revs.
ok what would you guys recommend for around $250-350 price range that sounds nice, looks pretty good. if you know of some deals going around i need to know. thanks
i did do some searching at online stores. i just wish they had sound clips or something for the exhaust systems.
for that price, go check out ebay. My bro has the cheapo megan racing or some racing catback on his accord. The piping is large diameter, great stock replacement, looks aright for a real cat back with a can type muffler. It sounds good too, but can get loud. He paid about 300-350 off ebay shipped for one
doh i dont really want a loud exhaust. i had a 3A racing muffler from like pepboys on my teg, it sounded cool at first then just got anoying. i somtimes take long trips and the sound is anoying as hell. i might as well cough up an extra bill to get a nice quite one. thanks.
yea thats prob a great idea. If you think about spending 350 for somethin to you over until whenever, you mine as well spend the 150 more and get a a quality exhaust. I paid close to 550 i think shipped for my thermal, which is nice all around. Only time its obnoxiouse is when im vtec’in But other then that its pretty tone, and deep. You could also check out the rs*r which i hear is very similar
I’ve posted this up in the Commerce boards but I am currently parting out my car and selling off my Greddy SP2. It’s been on my car for about 3-4k miles and is still in really good condition. It’s a full stainless steel cat-back, includes the extension piece for the 92-93 tegs, and is supposedly the quietest g2 teg exhaust next to the RS*R. I bought it new for $500 minus the cost of shipping and am willing to let it go for $350 before shipping. If interested, email me at ko2@tcnj.edu

Best for quiet is RSR ExMag
You could also have a custom job done.
you could also buy a used exhaust. i picked up a thermal R&D locally for dirt cheap that i love.
ive never heard anythign about monza
but if you are interested in any other brands, read the rate your exhausts thread, and that other thread called is this a good exhaust, i just bought it or something like that
EspelirJGT500
got mine on and sounds deep as hell.
i might go custom if i can find a shop that doesnt half ass their work. the first shop i went to for a muffler install did the crapiest welds in the world. he was using a wire fed welder. so i had exhuast leaks all over the place, i ddint notice unitl a few days later. i think i might look out for used cat backs, save me some cash.
