for those people running toda cams, reading stuff like this & seeing visual proof would be enough to make me want to upgrade my belt…
thats very interesting. I’d never heard about that before. I’d like to hear what dan has to say. He’s running the toda’s and oem timing belt, not sure if he’s checked for wear recently though.
i remember dan briefly talking about this at the wcm. while it’s no doubt the upgraded cams/valvetrain is going to stress the timing belt more, dan was steadfast and confident in the stock belt. something to do with know-how and proper installation and probably most importantly, consistent checkups on its condition.
