still we aren’t seeing anything. if you reset your cookies you will see what we see
Ahh, i was going to post pics of my own by i erased them. I’ll take some tomorrow of my WORK IN PROGRESS. My g3 sideskirt project is far from being done but ill try to show you guys where i cut. Oh, and I’m getting 4dr g3 sides to fit my sedan. The length is almost perfect. Anyway, I’ll just fix that pic you guys were trying to post.

try that… no .orig.jpg at the end.
nice. i am going to pick up mine today and hopefullly put them on too
I almost went to sleep before I remembered I said I’d put these up. Again, this is only work in progress pictures just to give you a sense of what I’m doing with these sides… actually, there’s no really good reason for me to post these. But when i get everything all squared away and the skirts on like a pro, I’ll post some detailed pics of where to cut and stuff.
You can find more pics at my imagestation album. Anyway, I’ll try to keep you guys updated on my progress. Again, these are stock g3 sedan skirts on my g2 sedan.
ahh i didnt notice the orig.jpg part… good lookin out… get your self a dremel, and some thick quality bits to cut with… the flimsy heavy duty one will die under pressure while cutting…
i heard you gotta cut the top off of the side skirts…the part thats goes in to the door jams
Yeah, I had to cut a bit off the top because they are too long or too far into the door jamb. Plus the door jamb kind of angles upwards into the cabin and it’s hard to form the skirt to that angle.
im bored of the g3 side skirt on my g2 now. Lemme know if any one want to picked them up $50 for both. Fitted to 2 door G2’s and preprimered.

I just finished mine tonight … but I’m still not sure if it was worth it… I spent about 10 hours total cutting and grinding the side skirt just right so that they would fit… as for that part that goes into the door; I cut that piece completely off… the doors just wouldn’t open and close properly with them on…
can you post the pic with the open doors and more close up please?
more close up pics??
door pics…
excuse the mess:shy:
and here’s what they looked like before I put them on… note: the part that goes in the door jam is gone…
so its gone?
how come i see it on the door jamb?
was it hard overall?
i am picking some up this week to play with
i think it will looks nice

yeah they just sit on the outside of the door jam… mine don’t go in the door jam like on the g3’s (I didn’t want my doors to rub on the side skirt.)
I used only 4 metal screws (2underneath fr/back and 2 in the wheel wells fr/back) I also used double sided tape in the middle to keep them straight.
Overall… it wasn’t that hard, just time consuming… lots of cutting and grinding… (you need dremal) about 10hrs of prep.(I broke about 20 cutting disks) and about 1-1/2hrs to mount them… (take off the rear wheel and turn the fronts… this makes mounting the side skirts so easy…)…hth
see pic below…on the part I removed…
pic no worky
are they secure with just a few bolts
looks like a need lots of cutting disks
Click on the “guide” on the first post by Socekim12 on this thread for the pic… look at the pic with the door open…
and yeah I used alot of cutting disk, but there only about $4 for 36 disks at wal-mart…
as for bolts…use as many as you want, but 4 on each side worked for me…
i just noticed that your skirts stick out too much…
arent they?
