I was just want to know what camber kit has the most positive camber adjustment out there for the DA integra. Well, i have the skunk2’s , already maxed out, yet still has negative camber. im lowered, almost no fender/wheel gap, but not slammed…
appreciate the help
are you using the EF camber kit?
How much negative camber do you have? Having some is not necessarily a bad thing and assuming you set your toe properly you shouldn’t have tire wear issues - especially if you don’t drive like a grandma.
yeh im using an EF camber kit and i know there sa DA kit out. will that make a difference in camber adjustment? just want to make sure… and also what about the adjustable ball joint like ingals??
not really sure how much negative camber… my toe is almost maxed out in my EF manual rack and pinion and is still toe’d out… so i really want to get the camber zero’ed out until i figure out the steering assembly problem…
The toe being out of whack is your main problem. You can actually have a lot of negative camber and if your toe is zero you’ll have minimal wear. However with your camber at zero and the toe way off you can burn through tires VERY quickly. If your camber is way off then you need to deal with it as well, but your main concern should be toe. What does the EF rack have to do with your toe settings being off? Many on here have used the EF rack and are able to get the correct toe settings. Sounds like it’s just not adjusted properly yet.
i have no idea why the ef rack i have is shorter (end to end) compared to DA rack…the tie rod ends are the same so thats not the problem…again o dont know why
What car was it off of?
ef civic hatch, w/ dual point engine
i do alignments at my shop. yes TOE is the most important aspect of an alignment , but also camber has some play in there too. just go to the nearest alignment shop and have them zero out your toe. Then try to get DA camber kit. The EF camber kit is fine, but its only meant for the EF, and also it through off my caster a little bit. ingalls are fine, but wear out too easily.
I used the ingalls adjustable kit for the inside and it works great you just have to use a bit of excessive force to make sure the kit doesn’t slide. They also came with poly bushings and sleeves already installed. I’ve been a fan of ingalls for a while and you can insure oe quality. But also get an alignment.
