Mostly Stock LS 1/4 Mile Time

It was my first time at the track tonight, and I was pretty satisfied until I came on this site and saw what other ppl were running…
91Ls w/ 173k
Tein SS
Iceman CAI
C-8s w/ federal tires…
I set the shocks 9 clicks from full stiff on the front and 32psi front and 38 rear in the tires
60’ 2.304
330 6.822
1/8 10.605
mph 65.24
1000 13.836
1/4 16.556
mph 82.07

nothing seems wrong w/ the car, i know my 60’ needs work, probably go a little lower with the pressure, im shifting about 6700…

seems like i should be trapping about 5mph more…

but im not real concerned about improving because my clutch is old(original, i think) and my motor mounts dont seem to like this drag racing…

Simple trick…and free: Pull your P/S belt when you get to the track. I told a guy running a mildly-built g2 to try it and it bought him 0.3 (no, I’m not exagerating). It takes 5 minutes to pull it and you’ll thank yourself when you see your times.

Your 60’ is not THAT bad… A low 2.3 60’ is what most Ppl pull at the track on street tires in our cars. I was able to muster a 2.23 60’ on bald streets though. Practice makes perfect. My best time so far was a 15.43 @ 88.00 Mph and the only mod being no muffler. I had stock airbox, filter and all. No weight reduction or no belts removed. I tried taking off the P/S belt though after the track and didn’t feel any difference

Nice time though… Just keep practicing…your times WILL improve.

i dont think im going for awhile. according to the original owner, im still on the original clutch, which feels pretty worn and soft anyways, and my motor mounts probably dont like 5k launches…

but that 2.3 isnt that bad…my friends is pulling about the same 60’ in his 203whp EF…hes still trying to get into 13’s…hes close…

i think im going to put in a clutch, flywheel and motor mount inserts next summer while im home…i go back to school soon…

it was fun, but im mad i got beat by this super riced accord doin 16.2 :gay:

a clutch would really help.my stock clutch was working great-at lease i thought- i picked up .2 in the 1/4 with a new clutch.
