I went out to Kansas to go to Tokyo Image (the only people around me that knows what they are talking about) and ordered a stage 1 CM. Well, we were checking out my engine, becuase its really clean, and he noticed i still had my original plugs in there, and they looked like they were falling apart. I told him, “yea, but no one around me sells MSD” so he tells me hes got something to show me. I walk inside with him and he breaks out this spark measuring machine, dont know the real name of it, but you can see how much the wire conducts…its really cool…anyway, he breaks out MSD, Nology, Vitek, ACCEL and some german wire. then he breaks out Ractive…im not joking. the Ractive beat the holy hell out of all of them. I thought it was a gimmick, so i had him switch the plugs, and the sides that he put the wires on. Again, the Ractive beat the bejesus out of the others. then he brought me over to his 11 sec drag CRX, and after i got done nutting all over myself, he popped the hood, and he had the same Ractive wires. i bought them. im happy, but they arent cheap. just thought id let you guys know, Ractive makes at leats ONE good thing
what’s the price? where else can I get them if I decide to go with them???:bowdown:
I paid 80 bucks. I know, its expensive, but its the last set youll ever buy. They have warrantees on them so if they ever arc, or become in any way faulty, you simply get brand new ones. Well, as for where can you get them, I would try your local “import” shop, since they arent going to have them at somplace like pep-boys or something. If you can, get them to do a current test on different plug-wires…it looks really cool, and you can see what im talking about.
Is there a Vendor online that sells these wires?
I have no clue who would sell them. try NOPI or summit, they might, but you might ave better luck just doing a google search.

I have magnacore and I like them a lot… I wonder how they fair with ractive.
On the little volt display thingy (tech term) they put magnacore and stock on there, magnacore beat stock by quite a noticable amount, but seemed to be worse in comparison to the current the ractive wires carried. All tests were done with the same NGK plugs.
I had these wires in my old teg, they are freakin fat wires… 9.2mm i beleive. So if any of you are planning to get these you should probably get some new wire clip things to. I didnt notice any difference in how the motor ran or anything, just got them from another member on the board for cheap and becuase i had old cracking wires on at the time.
Power gains?
Did anyone who had these wires notice any kind of performancer gain at all? If not, what’s the point? I’d much rather get parts that aid performance that is either noticable or recordable to say the least. So what the dealio?
i got better gas milage. i was getting about 270-80 before, but after i put them on, i got 315 p/tank. after all, its simply making your engine more effiecient.

Absolutly go with NGK’s. I have tried nearly every plug on the market, none of which has made the idle as smooth as the NGK’s. Your not going to notice any power differences unless you have really bad plugs right now, though. Make sure to gap them correctly, and if you get the Ractive wires, make sure you hear them snap in…they seem like they are loose, but they really arent. Oh, and im using my stock wire holders, they fit snug, but they fit…

Are they better than Denso Iridiums?
You wont notice any difference between spark plugs unless you
- have really old plugs, or
- are VERY heavily modified or are forced induction
I would go with NGK’s, no need to spendmoney were no gains will be made.
I would only purchase aftermarket plug wires if my factory ones were falling aprt, as in your case nostock. Purchasing them when your OEM ones are in perfect shape is not a good use of your funds IMO.
And yes only use NGK plugs, and if you have a high compression b series motor you can use the NGK IR’s that are for the RSX-S - they’re a heat range colder better for detonation issues when compared to regular b series NGK plug
