i have a 92 ls and it has 185000 miles and i have come across a 98 ls head for free so i was wondring if the head will bolt right on and would i need to buy headers for the 98 head???

yes, it will bolt right on. you’ll have to use some parts from your stock head though (distributor for example) do a search and for “b18b head swap” or something like that and you should be able to find all the specifics. If not it should be pretty straight forward as to what needs to be swapped. If the b18b part doesn’t work, just remove it and put on the b18a part.
no, you don’t need a new header.
