I was thinking of takin the block out of my stock 1990 teg n getting something built, any suggestions on the best head n partz to use, and i wanted to get a ruff idea at what im looking at and gonna have to go threw…
search on engine swaps/builds
just do a full gsr swap or build an ls/vtec if u wanna just get ur ls block built.
ye i was reading into that, i think thats what im going to do since my friends dad was offering to build it up

Here’s an idea bore your block out to 81.50mm get a b18c head & ecu , p30 pistons (forged if you can afford it), skunk2 IM, skunk2 stage 2 ITR cams, shot peen your ls rods, of course the ls/vtec kit, h22 TB, 98 gsr tranny, gsr girdle, and maybe some NOS. That’s for an N/A application for boost umm. . . Still bore out the block insteaad of p30s get a set of b17 pistons so you can run more boost 70mm TB, b16a head and ecu, skunk2 turbo cams and IM, s1 tranny and the all important part the turbo kit & a good shop.
good but expensive builds
anyways how much are u lookin to spend? power goals? and what are u limited to?
is that possible?
Is what possible? Spending countless hours fabricating an engine to fit and neglecting to take the stickers off of your tires?
Apparently it is… pictures don’t lie.
Woooooo The Civette!!! Is It Done?!?!? I Gotta See The Rest Of That Thread
im looking to spend around $2000
save double that if your going to be serious about rebuilding your engine for any type of decent horsepower.
What hell is that! That is a hell of a project! What type of numbers is it putting down dyno/track?
$2000 you really need to set a higher budget or just give up. Or I can do a little research but its not going to put out that much power for the $ your going to be spending. But give me a couple of days and i can figure something out.
crvtec if you want vtec.
if not do a high compression b20b or usdm b20z build.
they make some decent power and will fit your price range.
Ok sounds good 90blkteg get back at me with that good looking out
piece together ur own turbo kit…i have all my pieces and now all i have to do is put it together and for everything i spent about $650 so the rest of ur money can go to rebuildin the motor
ps. the civette(the project up top) hasnt laid down any numbers yet… he said he should be around 400whp with cams and etc… If you find the pics of it from the side…you’ll see that he is rollin with the corvette rims and that it is rear wheel drive
