How can you tell the diff between a knock off and the real deal??
You just have to have a good eye. Finding a kit for the teg that came out in ninety one is difficult as hell. specially considering that the kit costs well over 4000.00 so if you find one expect to pay well over that because they just don’t exist and in my 8 year search for one i haven’t seen the real deal yet. The real kit looks like the one on the picture and has the MUGEN plack on the front bumper. Look at GOKOOLJAPANS,the kit on Superstreet and the black one that is posted on the thread and look closely the real deal is the black one. After this you should be able to tell the real one from the replicas. All the front bumpers are diferrent. I think the closest you can ever get is the Wings West kit/without those ugly side skirts. Just find someone who can make some Mugen looking ones for you.

Sup JImmy i drive a white DA with DOHC VTEC side stickers like the 2000 SI’s got. sure we can meet up with this boy from Sylmar and roll. Just find a good spot and a time.

my kit is the autolook one, its as close to the mugen one as can be…i tried to find a real one, but no luck…never liked the front so i modified mine(which looked like the REAL black one)…im happy with my kit and to be honest with you the real front end has too much going on,…also the real deal has smoked covers for the bumper lights…also the price tag on those kits are unreal…try explaining a 2500$ reciept to your wife…lol…like i said im happy with my kit…hth
That’s cool. How much did you pay for the sideskirts and spoiler? those are defenitely tight. I’m buying the front and rear bumper covers from wings west along with the Mugen replica Wing. But i just can’t stand those sideskirts that they slapped on the kit. Yours are deffinitely as close to the Mugens as you can get. Good job anyways. I wasen’t trying to put your kit down, every DA owner has different plans and different likes for what they drive and aslong as you are confortable, that is all that counts. I’m not realy planing on putting any Mugen placks on mine cause anyone with a good eye would catch that. i just want a car that goes with my personality, not a car that will have others desireing it or stealing it .

i just have this stupid “itch” for mugen stuff…also the kit i have has indentations for the MUGEN EMBLEM anyways, just like the real mugen kit…and also if you see the wings west kit you can tell that the front and rear pieces kinda stick farther out from the moldings,.,…my kit sits FLUSH with the moldings…my car will be at the july 6th meet…see you there
