My 1992 DA9 Build

What going on guys, so I am starting a build thread on my car, primarily just to keep track of my progress and keep organized. Ill update it tomorrow with photos and up to date progress but Ill give you a little background info, and what my plans are.

So I picked up the DA in February for $1000. She was %100 stock. I drove her about a month, than the transmission went out (She was Automatic). So I did the 5 speed conversion, and drove her the summer and picked up some goodies for her.

I slammed her on coilovers.
Got her a carbon fiber hood
Picked up Drag DR-46 wheels

All this is irrelevant though, as Im not satisfied with my integra.

Game plan for the winter:

I pulled the motor today.

I plan on doing a FULL wire tuck and painting my engine bay either a red or almond color.
I also plan on upgrading the B18. (Rings, rodbolts, b16 pistons, new top end gasket set)
Getting the car painted. Currently STUMPED on the color. Im thinking at the moment Champion White
Basically, I want it to look like a brand new car coming off the lot

Things I absolutely need…
JDM One pieces
A different wing, I honestly HATE the LS wing. I love the Hiro wing, but I know finding one thats not worth 3/4 of my car is unlikely.
Mugen style front lip

Also, guys, please feel free to voice your own opinions.

Thats how she sat a day after purchase

This is how she sat before I pulled the motor. Changes to come.

It’s hard to change colors ain’t it? You get attached, grows on you.

Oh it is man… I have so much emotionally invested in this car I feel like if I change it, she’ll never be the same. I was sad pulling the motor out LOL.

But here is the colors I am debating.

Champion White
Phoenix Yellow
Milano Red
Captiva Blue Pearl

Or do I go totally crazy and do a non OE color?

good start man, make sure you take pics of the motor pull…i love motor pulls… and also if I was you I would try and keep it the white, maybe do some outragous color scheme in the engine bay, But hell the white is to damn nice to change, with the right wheels it will really look tidy.

I feel you man. I love having my da in white. If you can’t part with the color then keep it as is. Me personally, if I change colors I’d try find something original u dont see on an everyday teg.

UPDATES: Motor is completely out, tranny has been removed and motor is stripped down to the block.
