How she sits now

Some of you have followed my other thread, mainly freshening up the 20 year old GSR. Well that is basically completed. Now I want a little more driving fun. The B17 runs great but I can tell it is tired after 240k faithful miles. After I tear the block apart and have a machine shop make sure all is well, I will have them do some work to it. Goal is to do a “poor mans R”. My first child is due this Saturday so this will definitely be a slow part of restore/build process. I will save and collect parts then begin the build. some of you may ask me why on earth would I take out the B17? Well I want to preserve the B17 and also like driving somewhat spirited. I Dont want to risk ruining the b17 block. I would rather build a much more common motor and not worry if it goes. If I ever decide to sell, I would put the b17 back in. Stay Tuned!
