Hell all, the name is ken and I have been posting and asking quite a few questions on here, a little background about me and my DA9, I have been in the honda game since I was about 20 (24 now) and I found my integra for sale after having a RHD converted eg hatch sold out from under me. I paid $1200 for my car back in 2010 and I enjoyed driving her so much, well about 3 months later the clutch went out and I sold/traded it to a guy for a 2003 polaris predator 500 with a bunch of work done to it and $500. Well I never got my $500 so I went looking for my car and it was MIA, well a few months goes by and a kid I went to school with found my car for sale with a bad clutch at a local salvage yard with the title still in my name and he bought it for $900, So he calls me and tells me this, well he puts it up for sale after breaking the steering column and blowing the back window out and wants $950 for the car and a guy from lansing buys it and gets the car back in running order. Fast forward to tax time of 2012, I run across the old registration for my car after looking for some tax papers and I throw an ad up on craigslist looking for information on my car in roughly the area I remember it being sold to, well the current owner gets ahold of me and so we do some wheeling and dealing and I buy my old car back for what I paid for it a few years prior which is $1200. So I go to pick my car up last feburary and when I get there the guy throws in pretty much all his stuff he’s ever had for his DA’s that he has owned(new sunroof, remote starter, brake componants, suspension, electronics, etc.) so that’s pretty much the back story of the car. These are after I sold it and got it back , after seeing all this crap happen to my car in just a few short years I figured I would roll with it for a little while until I got some money, well this tax season I ordered some coilovers, some fiberglass fenders from silk automotive, some cheap depo projectors, cam gears, DNA Motoring 4-2-1 exhaust, do some port and polishing work on the motor, do some paint work and track down another s1 because I lost my 4th gear back in september, well as luck would have it I tracked down an s1 from a different car club member out of Hypnotic Kreationz(I’m a Vertically Challenged member), I just hope and pray that I can get it looking as good as some of your guys DA’s
I almost forgot to add that I have started to take the car apart and I have pics of it, please don’t rag on me too much as this really is the first build thread I have ever done and I know the pics are small and kind of crappy but some are taken with my nikon and others are with my atrix hd cell phone
so it’s 6:42 here in MI, here in a few hours I will be heading out to pull the motor and trans out of my DA, she needs a major overhaul because she’s just seeming to lack power with 205k on the clock, once I get the motor and trans out I will have some more pics to post
