I’ve been on the forum for quite some time but I don’t get around to posting much. Figured I’d share my new 93 gs with everybody and go over my old db1. I’ve got a ton of plans just trying to get my wallet to agree with them haha. I bought my first g2 in 2008. When I first started getting into imports and thought of building one I instantly fell in love with the g2 Integra. My first was a 1990 db1.
When I got it it wasn’t in the best shape but it was cheap and a starting point.
I didn’t do too much to it in the first few years. I bought some clean ls mesh wheels and dropped it on eibach sportline Springs with tokico blues. Got a skunk2 front camber kit and no name exhaust. At the time I was just out of school and not making tons of money so I did what I could afford. In 2011 the car was stolen and found a week later stripped. I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it so I decided to start over. All of my main wire harness was cut into pieces from the theives so I decided to convert to obd1 and threw a 93 gsr harness in just in case I decided to run vtec later on. While I was at it I did a wire tuck.
I picked up another ls motor and went through it. Replaced all the gaskets had the head cleaned and milled and put a new clutch in.
Got it up and running after about a year of sitting.
Ended up picking up a carbon fiber hood and got a great deal on some 5zigen fno1r-c’s from a buddy
That’s pretty much how it sat until now. Recently I decided it wasn’t worth the time and money to fix all the rust and dents on the db1 so I started looking for a new g2. I came across a 1 owner 93 gs that was in excellent shape (as far as Utah g2’s go) so I pulled the trigger. Has a few MI or rust spots and 1 dent on the driver fender, a far cry better than my db1.
I gave her a good bath and put on some Tein Springs I had laying around. It’s currently on my fno1r-c’s and has a skunk2 mega power catback exhaust with Megan racing header. Last weekend I pulled out the worn out ls that was in it and replaced it with the motor from my db1 which was in much better shape.
I’ve got a lot of plans for new suspension, some exterior changes, fixing the little body work that needs to be done and new paint. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it to a few auto X events and wide open Wednesday events at our local track Miller Motorsports Park. That’s about it for now. As I do more work to her I’ll be posting updates. Thanks for looking.
