MY 93 GSR semi restore thread

paid about $100 on ebay.

my GSR was backed into :frowning:

damn that sucks…you call it into the insurance company?
I found a seller on ebay with a blank for $6

was told you can get from dealer after the fact.
Acura dealers only charge $5 for the key and the cut from your vin# Just FYI, no reason to get it on ebay.

yes as i stated…

anyway…i had plans on getting some paintwork done later on in this restore but…my friends wife backed into her :frowning: It was a downer and he/they felt bad but are making it right. Decided to go ahead and get the painting done now. The paint on this car was amazing anyway but the hood had 72 hail dings, passenger fender is Tafeta white not the Frost white it should be and a few other misc dings. Another friend does paint and body so took to his shop. He does really good work. cant post pics cause this site wont let me now…

upload to FB. at least you didnt get your car back monday and hail dropped tuesday sigh guess you wont be making it to ECHM in VA next wkend
got the mats back! look fantastic, can only post one pic for some reason…

not to bite of you where did you get the embroidery looks good like that
Grids are 16x7 +40

found the mats on autoanything.com, made by Lloyd. I purchased the thinner ones but still super nice quality and fit perfectly! They also come with the holes and hardware so they won’t slide under the pedal. Was just over $60. I figured I have only put 4k miles in almost a year on this car so if I wear out the mats quicker cause I opted for the thinner/more affordable ones, it will take a while and I can just get new ones. Have yet to take to the embroidery shop. Not in a hurry. Just traded my Si for a Tacoma, been playing with it lately.
Lol thanks.

Going to the Import Alliance meet in Charlotte tho!!

Got the car back, OMG looks FANTASTIC. 3 coats base 3 coats clear, dupont paint. Buddy of mine who did it exceeded my expectations. Whole car looks like glass now. I don’t want to take it out of the garage!

Pics or lies!!

haha kidding, but really…in for pics.

Agreed! we need pics:corn:

lol you better come to the ECHM in VA too…we need 2nd gen support…at least i do LOL

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!! that is supper sick homie, one of the cleanest db2 examples I have ever seen in white that’s for damn sure.
When I come to visit my parents next year in N.C we should try and meet up. Maybe you can let me take her out on a date. LoL just messing with you. But I really do like the car a-lot.

Yeah man, not a lot of car peeps around Asheville hit me up! sethman9100@yahoo. I am debating on getting another set of da seats and recovering in leather cause I don’t love the stock cloth but I know it was exclusive to the GSR… I would keep the seats just in case I sell. I may put in a B18C and while building the B17A.

How far is Durham N.C from were your at ?

Car looks great! How was the clearance on the bottom of your b&m shifter? Any issues with the linkage rubbing?

About 4 hrs from Raleigh.

It hit and rattled but I was able to make it work. Bent the heat shield a little

damn that paint is clean…jeez. any good junk yards your way with any integras in it?
