Picked this up 100% bone stock with all maint records from Acura. I always wanted a project car and especially a white DB2. Has hail damage on hood and some dings but no visible rust…small small spot on rear quarter cant really see and is fixable.
Put some Tein springs on and some rims but will be changing the rims soon.
Took off the IM and am replacing everything that is old…hoses, seals, breather chamber, ps seals etc.
Interior needs nothing. Very clean and no rips/tears in the seats.
things already replaced:
wheels
cv joints
springs
B&M SS
amber turn signals
removed crappy hood padding
cracked windshield
passenger side fender
NEED A STOCK EXHAUST IF ANYONE HAS ONE!!
Here are some pics if interested.
Will be painting the front end and the rust spot and having the small dings removed. Paint is in really great shape for the most part.
It’s amazing how brittle everything is! Broke the Knock sensor when removing harness but used very little force. Hoses are all very hard.
Will update with more pics as I get more parts and stuff put together
Well I figured I would asked… Sorry if it’s already been discussed in another thread… Any ways… Where is a good place to get those one piece headlights? What are those extra plugs below your pic of the lights? (HID kid wiring)
Thanks
Thanks, it was really bad. That Super Clean worked way better than i anticipated.
I should have everything back together soon, but won’t drive much in the winter.
I need an alarm, any suggestions?
i personally got a cheap alarm, but its loud as shiet lol…heard it go off all the way in the abck of my apartment while i was sleep…but find a 2way depending on your price range…after i put on my one pieces i’m going to look for a quick release hub w/ lock and steering wheel for added security, then gona look up kill switches for it
all my replacement parts came from the dealership with the exception of the NGK plugs and wires. I did use some bulk hose for the longer rubber hoses. Having a buddy of mine help redo all the leaking power steering seals. After the new oil pan/gasket and the ps stuff…shouldnt have any more leaks with the exception of the rear main. The previous owner put a new clutch in it so don’t want to take tranny off yet…
Previous owner also did the timing belt and water pump just b4 i bought.
