i had a b20b with the crap low comp pistons, replaced with the b20z pistons and rings. ITs running strong and i can chirp 3rd every time almost.! its bolted to a 92 integra gsr tranny! new oem clutch and a 12 LB. flywheel. It has ARP rod bolts so i can rev it higher safely when i chip my car. Its quick. It has a b18 head, ported and polished, 5 angle valve job, feria 1mm oversize stainless steel valves, crower titanium retainers and dual valve springs, its been milled 30 over. Dammit, the milling screwed my timing and now every time i go to stop the idle drops to like 400 then immed. back to 800 rpms for idle, o wel, i head ADJ. cam gears solve this. I have a skunk2 intake manifold bolted to the head, i love it. Has a bad 3rd gear, o well, i am buying leftcorners dc header. I need to get a FPR, 404 cams and skunk adj. cams gears to finish it off! I ran my teg at a 1/8 mile and hit a best time @ 10.1…i wanna hit low 9’s with the b20z.
so what ya guys think of it so far? My A/C is out also to clear up some room!, hehe i love to actually see the bottom of the bay

MINH, its a great tranny, but when i got over like 50 in second and shift into 3rd gear even a slow shift it grinds really bad, beleive i r not, i was very dissapointed. i know you told my dad its fine, but 3rd gear sucks, and when i get up threw 4th gear, just shift into 5th like a normal throw and it grinds into 5th, i dont care, if any wayu could get a brand new 3rd gear for it, thatd be great, so what cha think, it does have a 3rd and 5th gear grind, i swear to u on my life, everything else is great!

Get your synchros. Thats probably all it is. Common for honda trannies. I had 2 trannies where both trannies had bad 3rd gear synchros. Wonder why its usually always 3rd gear that is bad?? Heck since your in there, might as well just put the ls 5th gear in there too

Sounds sweet, only, it sounds like grabbing third all the time has torn up your transy, if I were you I would take it easy on it, and only grab when you wanted to show off or something
