My b20 swap

Well I posted this in the “What have you done to your integra today” thread. Though I’d make a seperate post.

Put a B20 swap into the integra. Rod bearings were going out on the B18A from a blown head gasket I had some months back. Fixed the head gasket but ended up having the rod bearing problem right after. I’ve been limping it back and fourth to work till I bought all the new parts. Then sent everything off to the engine builder to have them do all the machine work and assembly. They assembled the head, and most of the block. I just had to modify and install the windage try for the ARP main studs, install oil pickup, and oil pan. Some friends and I installed it all into the car at my friends shop.

B20B block converted to B20Z spec with factory Honda B20Z PHK +.25mm oversized pistons and rings
Block was hot tanked, cleaned and bored over +.25mm, checked for crank alignment/line hone and was perfect already
Used stock B20 rods, checked and prepped
Rotating assembly fully balanced (Rods/Pistons, crank, crank pulley, flywheel, pressure plate)
New Honda oil pump
New Honda fuel pressure regulator
ARP rod studs
ARP main studs
ARP flywheel bolts
Honda complete block gasket kit
Honda complete head gasket kit
Head was decked, new valve guides/seals, valves seated
ACT Sport Clutch Kit AI2-SPMM (Sport Pressure Plate, Modified Street Disc)
ACT Streetlite Flywheel
Relocated fan switch to thermostat housing
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
JDM ITR Header
Password JDM 2.5" to 2.25" Collector
Magnaflow 2.25" High Flow Cat
Filled in stock engine mounts with windshield urathane from my friends body shop
B20 Valve cover
Mobile 1 oil filter and 5w-30 extended performance synthetic oil
Changed the tranny fluid while we were doing all of this - GM syncromesh friction modified

Once I get some extra cash I am gonna do and obd0 to obd1 conversion with 94+ LS ecu in it and have it programmed and obd1 distributor. Just not sure yet as I don’t know anything about what ecu programs are good. Never looked into it before.

Parts I already had on the other motor that were used with this one:
94 Integra Intake manifold, replaced now with the Skunk2
94 Integra throttle body, redone by Maxbore
Fluidyne Radiator
FAL electric fans for 94-01 Integra
RC Injectors 240cc Saturated
Removed Injector Resistor box
Walbro 255HP fuel pump
RS-R Ex-Mag catback
K&N filter w/ stock resonator box removed and bottom of air box opened up more
Removed power steering

Oh and the oil plug from the LS. Was knocking so bad I didn’t think I was going to make it to my friends shop. Bearing on cylinder 3 rod was paper thin. Tons of metal fine metal flake in the bottom of the pan. From how it sounded I was expecting to see metal pieces floating around the bottom of the block. lol.

thats one spikey and sludgy drain plug.

is Maxbore still around or was that throttle body bored a while back?

Swap lloks real clean. I have a b20b in my white da as well. :werd:

Yeah it’s just all the fine metal particles in the oil. Other than that the oil would be really clean.

Yeah maxbore is still around. The tb was bored out over a few years ago. I just checked their website a few days ago to see if there were still in business to get the obd2 tb bored and they are still around.
