My build thread - kind of...

I bought my '92 GS DB1 in August '09 for 1,700. It wasn’t in too bad of shape:

Sure, it had a few little issues, but it should be fine in no time…

WRONG. First, I replaced the motor and transmission mounts. At the same time I had the antenna mast replaced. Total:~$400. Then I hit a concrete pillar. Got the rear bumper pulled back into it’s position and got some touch up paint. Total: $100. Then some miscellaneous little things from overheating that cost ~$300 all together.

Then comes the month of April '10. I had the Idle control Valve Replaced, a Fuel Injection service, water inlet seal, radiator cap, added antifreeze, changed Brake Master Cylinder. Total: ~$1500

I admit, I almost gave up here. I was so ready to sell it. But then I changed my mind when I realized my car is exactly what I wanted.

This week I am Having these replaced:
Rear trailing arm bushings, rear struts, and 2 tires. Total: $500-$800

Then I am probably going to get a wood dash kit (just for added luxury touches) and a new radio. I still have the 18-year-old stock radio. Total:~$260

And a few little pics:

^Some of those pictures were supposed to be “Artsy”, but I failed.

I will update once I get all of my other stuff fixed.

save your self some money and buy a helms.

Goodluck man:up:

^^agreed  cars clean man, your quarter panels look pristine!

Auto. 177,XXX miles. I bought it with 174,500 miles

good start

The car has less dings than most 18 year old cars. The passenger side fender and front bumper need to be replaced and the back bumper needs to be resprayed, but I’m okay with it the way it is. I have made the frost white paint the shiniest white paint I have ever seen (not to brag, I’m just very happy with the results.) thank you for the compliment!
