is this normal? or did i screw something up when i put the head back on?
the cap hangs off the head a bit?
Did you notice how each cap was labeled? On the intake side, they say i1,i2,i3,… On the exhaust side they say e1, e2,… They also have arrows pointing to the direction they go.
well yeah i did, as far as i can remember. but i will double check it tommorow.I just realized it after I drove it around the block. and it’s dark now…shiiiit. But for sure this doesn’t look normal?
cuz i’m almost sure i payed attention to that.
ok well good… Some people don’t even realize that. It looks like its on backwards.
yeah i does eh?, frickin crap!!!
could this have damaged the cams ya think?
i drove it for like 5 mins around the block, sounded okay an everything
The way you have it installed is correct… My B18A that I just removed from my car has it the same way.
THANNNNK GOD!!! i was freaking out so bad man!!!
that’s really strange though, wonder why they didn’t just match it up nicely>?
I am almost positive that is not on right… I recently replaced that seal that is in the picture about 2 months ago and I don’t remember that cam cap being on that way.
What motor do you have? B18A1 or B18b? Or a vtec head? The vtec head I have has no over hang. Yet the B18A1 I just pulled out of my car has the over hang.
Mines a b18a1
Nevermind, I just went out to my car and looked and it was exactly like that. Everything is cool
That’s f-ing teamwork!
I know the problem is fixed but as soon as I seen the pic I knew it was on backwards because of the black spots Glade you got it fixed.
huh…fixed? but i thought they just said that it was on the right way?
That there is a lil overhang?
It is on right… Ill even snap a pic for you to make you feel better
Note to self: Don’t post when 1/2 asleep…
it just looks really strange …doesn’t make any sense to me either. but that’s tha way it is i guess
