my car is running like there are two plugs wires in wrong positon??HELP!

Car was fine lastnight . was in some stop and go traffic and now its running all sputtery ! Checked the plugs and there good . What could it be has this happened to you guys?

The problem most likely exists in your distributor, i had the same problem at one time but i took the cap off and looked around and saw a wire that was bare and not covered up which was causing a misfire, i just electrical tape and covered it up and now runs just fine, just take your cap off and look round for anything suspicous looking and holla back!

looked under the cap everything looks good . Checked the timing looks good. plug wires are good . Fuel filter was changed about 3k miles ago . Cat is not glowing and exhaust is flowing fine. Not too sure how to do the compression test but all the cylinders had compression with the tester . I pulled up the ecu and it isnt throwing any codes . When i started the car this morning i was amazed that the problem was gone it was running crisp and clean . Got to the end of my driveway and back to running like $hit. I don’t know what more info I can give . I was thinking maybe head gasket but there is no oil in the water and vis versa. The motor just turned 146,000kmi . Any more ideas anyone??

Likely your ignition coil. Check the resistances on it according to the manual. I think you’ll notice it only does it when it is very warm out.

have u checked ur spark plug wires? Or your injectors? Try pulling out your spark plug wires 1 by 1 while the car is running. That way you can see if it’s the wires. If your car runs worst with certain wires out and runs the same with certain other wires out, then you’ll know it’s the wires. (hope you know what I mean)

It could also be the injectors, does your car idle normal? I had a problem where my car would idle fine, but would run like sh!t when I attempted to drive it. It turned out 1 of my injectors were bad.

If I ever take my car in to the shop I tell them ahead of time I want any old parts. They have to give them to you by law. But you have to ask ahead of time… This way you kind of know if they are screwing you or not. Of course they could have a big box of old parts in the back for people like me.
