Look at the front view pic, the top one is from 90-91 taurus/stable and the bottom one is from 92-95. The place for the letters is different.

Looking at your front view, Kev, it seems that the 92-95 is somewhat wider. Any fitment problems with this one? Myself, I have the 90-91 style - looks a little cleaner to me.
btw… does it look stock? or does it look like stuck in there that doesnt really fit?

lol… it look like one of those tricky pic. They r both exact same size. I cut the back of the top one so it’s shorter when it stand up.

The new DIN replacement that came with my ////Alpine is one big piece. It wraps around the stereo and makes that tray thing at the bottom. My question is, do I just break it (with tools obviously), or am I just screwed. Cuz I already shaved the holders perfect all around and I really REALLY want them in my car.

Do you have pictures? I dont know exactly what your talking about. Do you mean your mounting kit for your stereo takes up the while double din hole?

How hard are the cup holders to take out of the Taurus’, My local scrap yard has 10 of em, but i dont wanna go there and not know a single clue on how to take it out of the car and look like a complete idiot
Nevermind I got it to fit. I just took out the din **** on my stereo mounting kit. The cupholder holds up the stereo complimentary. Kudos to the person who figured out how to do the holders and what size, etc… I owe you one.

FAWKER, most of the cars at the yard wont have stareos so all you have to do is stick your fingers through where the stereo used to beand push in the clips on each side of the cup holders. there are no screws, just one clip on each side. or if theres a stereo in the car you have to get 4 small pointy things to stick in the holes in the front, once you got 'em shoved in there you push them out (towards the doors) and pull the cup holders out.

I put mine in today, it looks really good, but i had to cut quite a bit off of the back end… it took me maybe 2 hours to put in, but that’s just because it’s friggin cold up and i had to go inside once in awhile to warm up…
hey what did u guys use to support the back end of the cup holder assembly ?
it just sits in there at an angle
the back of it is lower than the front
Put something thick between the top of the ashtray and the bottom of the cupholders (i.e.: thick THICK metal, cardboard, wood, etc…).
