my db1 project

From a function standpoint, ST sway bars were one of my favorite mods. Made the car feel much more stiff.

Combine that with a good ride-height and good tires… shit, will drive like a brand new car.

I wasn’t completely sure how much effect was noticed with the Neuspeed sway bar… but I love it regardless! I might strip it down and polish it myself actually… the black coating is peeling, damn the previous owner! Lol

haha, yea i can’t wait to get the st sway bars and energy RTA bushings, cuz i have a road course about an hour away and i wanna do that shit soo bad

well today my test pipe separated, i didnt get it welded cuz i plan on using the ends from it and then replacing it with a high flow cat…shes soo loud now i cant stand to drive it…hopefully tomorrow i’ll run to the stop and throw a few spot welds to hold it together till i get the cat.

fixed the test pipe today with a trick aluminum clamp from pep boys, pretty sweet ass clamp in my opinion, then i went on a lil shopping spree…heres some pics of what i bought today…

also made a sweet score on craigslist today, paid only $150 and the bottle is full

cant wait for some install time

scored a clean set of seats today, color is wrong but i think ill get them re wrapped before install

good choice on the ST bar, but for the love of all that is holly. why would you even consider ruining a pair (a good pair at that) of the rare LS-S 2 tone seats. :wtf:

my interior color is black and gray, i dont want to ruin them i just want them rapped in the color of my interior…cuz i doubt ill find ls-s 2 tone rear seats for my 4 door

what’s wrong with your current seats? get those rewrapped and use those as temporary seats

i took them to the upholstery shop, they can’t re-wrap my current ones cuz the foam is super damaged and all falling apart…

maybe i can get the shop to re do my rear seats to match the fronts? but idk how it would look having only tan on the car in the seats

do what you gota do but i bet there is someone that needs/wants mint se seats
maybe i can get the shop to re do my rear seats to match the fronts?
That makes even less sense. Even mint shape, the fabric on your new fronts is old, and may tear any time.

Redoing rear seats that you do NOT sit in, and leaving old even if mint fronts is a$$-backwards. If you have the money, have them redo fronts AND backs with the same new fabric, or just the fronts to match the backs.

Then sell the two-tone covers from the fronts to someone who has less cash than you do, and may want exactly that color, and let them find a cheap set of sets from a local (to them) scrap yard where they may cost less than the price of shipping!

haha, yea i dont sit in the back but both my kids do all the time lol…

well today i put in the ls-s seats and cleaned all the junk out of the car, also removed the spare tire and jack since i cant use them anyways, made me able to neatly hide my tool box and random shit box under the trunk floor…think next will be new carpet for interior and hopefully i can find a clean trunk carpet as well
haha, yea i dont sit in the back but both my kids do all the time lol…
Oh well (chuckle). Redoing the back in two tone == counterproductive…

… wait a minute! You actually let under age, unsuspecting, innocent, (and probably cute), CHILDREN ride in the back of a 20-year-old car, with an exhaust that can blow apart at the drop of a hat, and half a radiator, and, and… ???

exhaust is straight, half radiator? i still have ac, heat and all that lol…its my daily, bought it a year ago with 220k and now shes at 253k…running strong!! woot woot…and my interior has always been 2 tone black and gray…rite now im not worried about it cuz both their car seats cover the gray so the interior looks pretty clean with the ls-s seats in it…i was gonna post pics but i hate that my door jams arent painted lol

Ok, ok, I just assumed it was not your daily, and since you pretty much got rid of most of the fan to make room for that fancy header, why stop there??

yep its my daily, its my only car lol…i need to chill on the mods for a bit and buy another daily so i can finish this car and get it on the track…but i keep coming across deals…plus my boss drives a b16 nitrous da so i just gotta be better lol

and i still have most my fan, just chopped about an inch off each blade…it still hits a bit but i’ve sat in traffic lately with the ac on and it didn’t get hot

got a wild hair up my ass today…would this be everything to make my car a 5 lug??

By the look of one of those rotors, that stuff has been pieced together from more than one car, which would be bad news.

Even if $1100 + $300 shipping was a good deal (which it is not), to buy some discarded JDM parts, I think that even a 4x114 conversion creates some issues that you have to spend more money to overcome, assuming you are building something for the track, as opposed to for the street. On the street, where it may not really matter much, you are just adding weight to your car for a different look. Used “conversion” kits like this often sell for less on ebay.

Finally there is a company called Dallas JDM Motors that may have something like this for less, or including wheels, if you really want to go that route, and for you being in Texas, less $ spent on shipping.
