oh okay, and no its for the street my car will prolly only see the track 10 times a year lol…put in my cat today, it got rid of the rasp but still leaks cuz i need to get it tig welded and ran the main line for my nitrous set up
I am absolutely not against doing things for looks, but this is a pretty high price to pay for 5-lugs (chuckle). Think of the wheels/tires you could get for that much.
Just for my own curiosity and future reference, what kind of seals are you using at the cat?
I took everything apart and cleaned the flanges on the cat and pipe I was keeping when I did the exhaust, but b/c I was in a hurry, I just got Walker seals and spring bolts from a local store. I did not much like the way they fit, seemed a bit loose to me, and wonder if they will leak in the future.
i quickly looked into the 5 lug conversion and found out i’d have to use ITR spindles and realized of how much crack i’d have to sell to get that…so i’m chillin lol. if i stumble across a good deal on a 5 lug ITR spindle, i’m going for it
seals? its a universal weld in…i used the ends from my test pipe that came with my header and slid it all together and just have the 2.5in aluminum clamps from pep boys, the clamps are like $11 each, it will be like this till i can have my boss seam weld it all the way around the cat

I mean, mine seems like it seals right now, but it just did not seem a real nice snug fit when I put it all together w. the parts store seals. oh, idk i just used whatever came with my header and my catback, on each end of the cat i used 2 pieces of the “adjustable” test pipe garbage that comes with the header…

I guess time will tell, but I am a bit skeptical.
well today got my cat all welded up pretty at work, and realized i didn’t have a gasket from the cat to cat-back so grabbed a mr gasket one and threw it on, sounds alot better now, nice deep tone now
