My Honda “Project 90”

Hi :waving_hand: G2IC family, this will be my first blog or post about my project a 1990 Integra GS my first manual transmission vehicle. This car is like my teacher I learned so much from this car , from regular maintenance , from breaking stuff and making repairs to upgrading parts to tracking it , I’ve never had so much fun working on cars until I got this Integra, as a DIY person I’m so glad to find G2IC that’s dedicated to our G2 integras , in this post I will upload anything related to my project ( 15 years and going …..) :joy: hope you enjoy my project journey since 2010

My next upgrade was a set of ground control full suspension replacement with the top hat, that thing changed the feel of the car completely! Now hitting corners with much confidence and are much more responsive and sharp like the Swiss Army knife. Also this brand has been track proven by many users for reliability and rigidity .

So after the front and rear camber kit , next upgrade would be the stock rear sway bar kit. This time I chose ASR , I heard good things about them so wanted to give it a shot . Man what a day and night difference. You do have to drill four holes inside the chassis that bolts up to the ASR sway bar bracket , aside from that everything is R&R . Make sure you measure twice before drilling!

damn that is sick i need to replace those trailing arm bushings too. i want to buy that energy suspension kit but its a lot if money. also i am taking a transmission class next week might replace the clutch too. ive never resurfaced a fly wheel kinda nervous

Yet the bushing kit it’s a pretty penny, but totally worth it made the ride so much better and tighter ready to fight the road ! I was nervous with my first clutch job too, just do your homework first find out all the toque specs have all the tools needed for the job and use safety equipment jack and jack stands, you’ll have a blast doing it . :ok_hand:

Next upgrade is my PLM universal muffler, I got it because it’s cheap but to my surprise it sounded really nice has a nice deep tone to it not raspy at all, took it to a muffler shop to get piping and welding done ……. I’m a happy trooper also I measured the sound decibels for this setup stock head stock cat to the rear axle around 96 decibels right under the limit for California exhaust law ( guess you can call this an axle back setup? lol California smog laws :sob:)

What the… get some real wheel chocks! ROCK POWER! LOL
