OK,I get in my car yesterday and the car won’t start.SO I have my friend give me a jump but I don’t even pay attention to the fact that all my electrical stuff is coming on.SO I assume it is my starter since it won’t even turn over.So I change my starter with one from NAPA arebuilt one I guess and still nothing but now my radio won’t turn on.I have called a shop and they tell me that it sounds like my starter also and they tell me that I may have gotten a bad starter rebuild.Has that happened to anyone? Also somebody said it might be the actual ignition but everything still turns on when I put my key in and turn it just no starting. What’s up with that?Am I jsut a :loser: who doesn’t know what he is talking about .Please help me out
you probaly got another bad starter if you can have the starter tested somewhere and also find out if you car has spark at the plug and fuel at the rail before you take the starter that way you dont waste a trip
It might be the Main Relay (fuel relay). If it doesn’t start in hot weather, that might be it. Turn your key to the ON position and see if you can hear the fuel pump. During hot weather the connections in the main relay don’t touch right, and the car won’t start. HTH
it won’t even turn over
Oops, didn’t see that. Maybe try replacing the main relay anyway if its hot out…
k, try turning your fan and lights and stuff on, and THEN turn the key to the start position? Do the lights dim and the fan slow down? If they DON’T, it sounds like it would be your ignition switch, or maybe starter relay?
if it is your starter… while tryna start it… it should click… but not turn over… if it happens… try banging it with a stick WHILE tryna start it…
If you have a straight drive check the safety switch on the clutch pedal.
