My jasper build thread, G2TEG 2!

Yeah defiantly man! Hopefully there’s some more meets in the area. Feel like the Honda scene out here is dead. At least my area. It’s all 240’s and drifters.

That’s a good thing, might mean they steal 240s instead…

No one will get this thing. I guard it and lock it up like fort knox

this car makes me jealous i dont have a da9 yet…my db1 is coming along but im on the market for a da9 and this one is kind of my role model…also saw it on the honda tuning page…nice!!

I saw a few honda meets around the bay area this year but my body looks like shit with all the screw holes from the body kit it had from the last owner. Add a crappy black macco paint job that is peeling off you can see the OG Rio red, and then a layer of some metallic blue pain in other spots.

Gimme a couple months and it will be back to it’s original color and in show condition

Worst case we should get some of us nor cal folks together. I’d be down to BBQ or something

Yeah defiantly! Sounds like good plan to me!

I finally got my DA going again with alot of help from teg youngin for hooking it up with some parts! ill be down to come to any meets, even if i have to drive my truck lol.

btw he sent me a pic of it with the side skirts right out of the box, looks very sexy

Sorry about the no updates guys, works been keeping me busy and I’m trying to get these side skirts finished up. The endplates for the large side of the skirt where the rear fenderwell is has cracks so trting to figure out the best material to fix them with. But I have the door caps and fendercaps and prepped up and once the large skirt’s cracks are fixed then I will be laying down some paint.

Stayed tuned I also got another project coming up for the Teg in the next few weeks once the weather clears up around here.

“like”

Duramix 4240 is a really strong plastic epoxy made by 3M. It’s expensive but really works for stuff like that and it bonds to plastic better than any other epoxy I’ve ever used. Might be worth looking into.

:corn:

Where abouts you get that stuff? Just like a normal paint shop? Or does your average autoparts store sell it?

I can co-sign for this. I used it on my front lip and has survived numerous scrapes. Only down side is you have to buy their gun too, I got it here.

4240

Gun

I don’t remember where I got it but definitely online. That place ominous posted looks legit. I didn’t buy the gun though. I also didn’t use the mixing tips that come with the tubes. Too much is wasted in them.

On a side note guys need some personal opinions. Im doing new front brakes on the teg trying to figure out if I want to do the Legend front brakes or the nsx calipers. Or just go all out and get wilwood 4 pot pistons. Just wondering what other people run and to see what they think would the wilwoods be overkill or would i be upset with the legends, Jhpusa has a great price on 11 inch rotor wilwood 4 pot pistons for 500.

did u read the thread someone just posted about JHP?

No I didnt. Something bad going on over there? I’ve ordered a few things from them never had a problem.

yea someone had an issue with their customer service and site being out of date, ive never had an issue either…but i just looked at that wilwood kit…that shit seems nice, crazy the rears cost way more than the front lol

Yeah I know way different. I probably wont get the rears yet probably end up running ep3’s or something.

I have no complaints about my legend 2 piston. Im way under $500 for the calipers brackets even with fast brakes 11" rotors, hawk HP+ pad fresh powder coating and new seal kits.
