Hey everyone sorry for the lack of updates in the thread lately, I have been so tied up with work and just everything else taking my time away from the teg. So pretty much since the chronicles meet she has been sitting, sad I know. But I unloaded her last weekend from the enclosed trailer and cleaned her up and took her for a few drives,
Also meet up with axel foley on this site for his Bride brix gen1 seat. Great guy to meet and has quite the collection of parts. Got the seat installed, and had to do some modification to the rails and brackets to work the seat in but I got in and straight so its good to go, and looks great in the car as well and its period specific, all I need is to find another to match. But its seriously the most comfortable seat I have ever sat in.
And last but not least I told you guys about the RSR I bought well it came in on Sunday so I got to install it yesterday!
Ohh whats in here!
Just this, love the exhaust tip so much.
All laid out ready for install
I had to make a longer test pipe since Iām assuming my header is shorter than what the exhaust needs. So I got a piece of stainless piping and my brother tig welded it up for me since he was a welder by trade.
Got it all installed and I love everything about it, sounds great nice and quiet, looks amazing too. Im in love with it!
Dont mind the bent licence plate frame, it got messed up when I was taking my car cover off, Didnt realize it was messed up until I saw the picture. ha
So pretty good update for the teg last night. Finally got a break from work to be able to take the car to the tuner and finally put some numbers down and see what the teg could do. So Tuesday night I loaded her up in the trailer, towed it to work with me since I was working at the office that day. Got off early and headed out to Hybridworks to get some tune time in.
They put her up in the air so they could put on the wideband, So I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get some shots of the underside of the car, since I have no undershots, and to look underneath the car to see how everything has been holding up. Afterwards they brought the car back down and strapped it down and got the fan ready for some runs. They had a small problem with my map sensor the computer said it was reading no vacuum, so we swapped out the map sensor and that solved the issue. Anthony the tuner/ owner of Hybridworks wrote up a completely custom map and seriously took his time with the tune, I was nothing but impressed with the work he did. Once he wrote up a basemap he started some pulls and first pull was at 181hp and 131 tq qhich was in itself impressive, after some fine tuning, switching around the maps and few more runs after that we got the car up to 187hp and 132 tq. I was seriously impressed with the tune and the numbers. When everything was completed I took her up the street and did a few pulls and wow night and day differnce from how it used to run, i mean I cant thank Hybridworks enough for all the help. So afterwards I loaded up the teg while Anthony was buring my new crome chip and installing it into the new p28 ecu for the teg. I am going to return in the near future after I put some more motor mods into the car and after I order a hondata s300 to retune off that. Thanks for reading here are the pics!
All loaded up in the trailer
Pulled into the shop ready to get put in the air.
Awesome undershot of the car
Some outside pictures of the car in the air, I loved this shot the most personally
All strapped in!
I thought this was an interesting shot
Getting ready for some pulls
Here is a video of one of the last pulls before my camera died.
Stoked you got that exhaust, Iām glad to see that such a good condition specimen ended up in good hands. Once you tune, you never go back, itās worth every penny.
Thanks Colin I love the way it pulls now I mean damn its got some power. A guy on nwp is selling some spoon cams and rc310 injectors, thinking of pulling the trigger on the and seeing what I can do then.
Thanks Sean, Yeah i know the vtec crossover in person was amazing I got chills everytime.
With Spoon youāre paying a lot for the name, if youāre looking for the most power for your dollar then Iād look elsewhere. Talk to your tuner and see what he suggests, I know my tuner really likes what he sees from the Skunk2 cams and recommends them over the Japanese brands. His rationale behind it was that the Japanese brands havenāt really changed their design since they first created them a decade or two ago, whereas some of the other companies are newer to the game and their R&D is more recent. Sounds logical but I donāt know how true it is. And donāt forget the valvetrain upgrade to go with it.
Well I was talking with the tuner and I brought up skunk2 as well and he spoke highly of them, also spoke highly of spoon and toda cams. It sounds pretty logical to me, new companies staying current with the market. I would just like a mild cam to have a few horses to play with when I drive it.
I lust after the Toda Bās  My friend and I have very similar engines (I will have a JDM ITR and he has a USDM ITR) and modifications and I think both of us are going to be getting tuned within the next month or two. He however is upgrading to the Toda Bās. I am interested to see what sort of power difference there is between our cars. Obviously not apples to apples since they are different engines, but still, it should be interesting.
Thanks alot, Yeah Iām so excited that the car put down some good numbers and it runs so well. I actually sent a paypal payment to guy a off nwp4life for a set of spoon cams and rc injectors. So Iām really excited to get them installed and get her retuned and see how she runs after that.
Hey guys sorry I havenāt been updating the build very much! Been pretty busy with work lately, and Iām latest purchase. Iāve always been a huge auto racing/formula1 fan and have always wanted to get into karting and see how well I can do in an actually series instead of just track days with my teg. So I ended up buying a shifter kart and have been practicing it on track days until my series starts in march. I havenāt been able to get out for the last 2 weeks because I tore some ligaments in my ribs, so canāt get out there until I heal up. I get some pics of the kart to show you guys and hopefully soon Iāll get some updates of the teg for you guys!
Hey dustin when installing the rear visor, do you need to put 3m tape or some kind of sealent on the brackets to stick on the windshield?
what did you do

Yes 3m double sided tape is what is used to secure the rear window visor.
Hey everyone great news!! Sorry Ive been dead for a while on here, I have been really busy with my shifter kart racing which is going great for those interested. First race of the series is coming up in 2 weeks. But thats not why Iām here. Iām here to talk to you about the teg of course! As some may know from facebook and such, that my car has been photographed for Honda Tuningās magazine. The shoot took place last year in July and was finally published this month for the april edition.
Now I wasnt really allowed to show pictures or info has requested by HT but now that the magazine is finally out on newstands then I can show you guys my pride and joy, my obsession, and the result of all my hard work and determination. I never expected my car to honestly come this far and I thank each one of you for the small bits of inspiration. Along with the few DAās that were always inspiration to me. 3 years ago though I told my girlfriend(ex now) that one dream for me that I want to accomplish is have my car published in a magazine. And from then on I pushed myself for it. I progressed alot with the car and I like to think of the car as a small piece of myself.
Last year while rebuilding the car and putting it back together was a tough time for me, not only trying to work a fulltime job working 7 days a week, but having my girlfriend of 4 years leave me, partially due to the teg and my time and money spent on it. trying to balance that with building the car, taking care of myself and my puppy, and pretty much going broke building the car, and other personal issueās it was for sure a tough time for me. But now seeing the magazine here in front of me and the pictures thinking to myself that car and I have been through hell and back and I dont regret a thing. I accomplished my dream and thats whats worth it to me. Iām very proud of my car and the things I have accomplished with it, and I hope to do more with it too one day. Thank you everyone so much that has helped me along the way. Thank you for reading hope you enjoy it! G2TEG2!!!
