my Ls is loosing coolant

Hi there I’m new at this so forgive me if i make a mistake.About a month ago my 93 LS overheated, and now I’m loosing coolant,I have to add coolant every 3 to 4 days so it won’t over heat.Do you guys think I messed up my the head.Any ideas would help, thanks:confused:

did ya check the rad. for leaks the top tank leaks in them alot . it gets brittle after a while and the pressure can create small leaks

happened to me twice!

 This happened to my 91 LS twice in 2 months. There are two different things that could be doing this. One is you busted a hole in the radiator, and the other is that a hose could just be leaking. The hose will only cost you a few bucks to repair.

or it could be your waterpump…that’s gonna be a bitch to change

do you visually see coolant leaking? if not, it could be a blown headgasket, cracked head or a badly warp head, since you overheated it.

loosing coolant

I already checked for leaks and all the hoses and they’re all fine,so it must be the head or head gasked. Thanks alot guys for all your help.

Remove the oil cap. If you see white creamy sheit inside, the head gasket is blown and most likely the head is warped. That means water is leaking into the crank case and mixing with the oil. If that’s the case, don’t drive the car for possibilities of blowing the motor!
