Hey guys, I’m 17 and this is my first Integra. I had a mint 1990 civic Si, but the DOHC ZC in it blew, so I recently sold it as a shell to try something new:
Anyways, I picked up a clean 92’ integra rs for $1000 a couple nights ago. Only 183,000km on the body and it has a swapped B18B1 in it. The cars runs well, I just put in a left lower ball joint, right upper control arm and a heater blower motor. Also repainted the valve cover using VHT red wrinkle paint. The floor on the drivers side was kinda shitty, so I had it all cut out, grinded, and redone. Got some plans for this car, just gonna keep it clean and JDM. It’s already lowered on Tein S. Tech’s, and it has a short shifter and intake. The body has a bit of rust on it, but it’ll be dealt with. heres some pics of the car, and some with my buddies VR6 VW Corrado:
thanks man…yea the civic really was immaculate. Such great condition. I babied the hell out of it and barely drove it, but I had some bad luck with that car; unfortunately. So I hope to have fun and good luck with my new DA!
I picked up a set of the all red/clear 90-91 OEM tail lights a couple days ago. I also did the trick to get the pink lines in them out. (take hot water/Castrol Super clean and swoosh it around inside the light). I’ll have them installed soon. So if all goes well, I may be picking up Tokico Illuminas w/ ground control coilover sleeves, GSR interior, and a Skunk2 Megapower exhaust system on Sunday. Also, I may be gettin’ JDM one piece headlights and a Megan Racing header sooner than later I’m taking the car to get safety and emissions tested, so I don’t want to spend money until i know it passes. After that; the fun begins Haha
Here’s my plans for this thing, I just wanna have a basic street car that’s fun to drive. Nothing crazy:
-Fix the rust/clean up the body
-Shocks (Most likely the Tokico Illuminas)
-Amber bumper lights, one piece headlights, 90-91 taillights (bleached)
-Exhaust system & high flow cat
-New cone filter (it has a no-name intake)
-Header
-Rims/tires (I think I wanna get some LS Meshies; suggestions?)
-Front/rear upper strut bars
-Rear sway bar
-New speakers
-Momo or Sparco Steering wheel/hub
-Shift knob (stock one feels funny lol)
-CD Deck
-Repaint calipers
-Relocate license plate (love that look with the plate angled to the side)
I’m hoping to do all the work over a period of time. If I can get all this stuff done, it’ll be an awesome car to own and drive…Can’t wait! Gimme your suggestions guys!
picked up some new parts today! I bought Tokico Illuminas with Ground Control coilover sleevs, DA GSR interior (front/rear seats and trunk mat), and a Skunk2 MegaPower cat back exhaust system. Can’t wait to install everything…should have the interior in soon. I’ll try to get the exhaust system and coilovers installed soon too. I got some pics of the exhaust and coilovers, none of the interior yet. I’ll have some shots of it soon though!
thanks guys! I have the car at the shop in my school. Just finished repairing the drivers side floor. It was all rusted out and stuff, so we cut out a big patch and welded one in. I used roof patching/tar to seal it all up on the top, and I’m just gonna use asphalt undercoating spray on the bottom probably. I’m dying to get the car back, but before I can put the interior back in, I have to hunt down a trunk/fuel door cable. They are both seized up Once I get that, I’ll put the carpet all together, and install the GSR interior Then hopefully I can install the exhaust system and use the magnaflow cat I have sittin around. The cat on the car has no flanges on either side, so I guess I’ll have to buy a flange and weld it onto the manifold…ughh so much work lol
Update: Got the Skunk2 exhaust and magnaflow cat installed today. Only took about an hour and a bit to rip out the old one, and install the new stuff. Sounds AMAZING…I highly recommend this exhaust to anyone with a DA. So the car is practically done, and ready to be emission tested and certified. In the last two and a half weeks, my buddy and I:
-Replaced left lower ball joint
-Replaced right upper control arm
-Installed four Goodyear Nordic winter tyres
-Cut/welded/repaired/patched drivers side floor (took so long!)
-Installed Skunk2 MegaPower exhaust and Magnaflow cat
-Installed GSR interior
-Installed Tokico Illuminas and Ground Control coilovers
Took the car for a quick spin today…it felt/sounded amazing. Can’t wait to get it fully on the road and drive it everyday! Also have to install the bleached out 90-91 OEM tails. I’ll have pictures of the car up ASAP!

Yea man, I’ll let you know. I took it around a little today, but I didn’t get to really hammer on it because of snow…and I was in my high school parking lot lol. From what I could feel though, it was really tight (little body roll), and not bumpy/bouncy. But thats with only maybe a 1.5" drop. When I do the safety/e test i want it way lower…like 2.5" probably
I took the car for the safety and e test yesterday. Passed the safety no problem…but it failed emissions test. Everything was normal, but the NO ppm (NOx). This is my reading:
This week I’m hopefully going to get to the bottom of it, fix it, and pass the emissions test. THEN I can proceed with the build
I can help with the answer to the Illuminas, but I have Omni Power sleeves. The illuminas are very nice, 5 settings and I’ve been driving on setting 3 or sometime 4, Handles very nice and firm without being harsh. If I had GC’s I’m sure it would be just a little firmer.
hey guys…so nothin’ has happened lately really. my car passed the e test/safety, so I’m just waiting on insurance; than it’s on the road finally! I have everything installed (exhaust/cat, coilovers, and gsr interior). I tried to lower the rears more yesterday, and I’m pretty sure I stripped the allen bolt, so that sucks. Maybe I’ll call Ground Control and see what they can do.
Also, I have a set of 90-91 (clear/red) tails, and I have the stock 92-93 tails (amber, red, clear) on the car…not sure which I want to use. Any suggestions? I took all the pink lines out of the 90-91 tails (Castrol super clean trick). Umm, what else…thats about it for now. Just trying to save my money, and appreciate what I got. I’ll start gettin’ some new parts probably within a couple weeks

cleaned out the headlights/bumper lights today and relocated the license plate!
There’s a possibility I will be picking up a set of BBS RA’s for the integra…hopefully! old mesh style wheels on a DA, I think would look wicked. Oh, and I also bought a Boss hub Kit for the MOMO wheel. should have it all together tomorrow, i’ll take more pics!
Picked up a set of black w/ polished lip BBS RA’s mounted on Falken Ziex’s (195/50/R15). Can’t wait to throw them on soon! I’m also going to install the MOMO tuner wheel tomorrow. Gonna test-fit the wheels/tyres, just to see how they look. It may snow again here in Ontario, so I’m just gonna wait probably 3 weeks to put them on for the whole summer. Here’s pics of them:
