i have replaced the main relay in 2 diff. times i also have checked all fuses am i missing a relay or something? i had alrm on it a viper i have taken that almost all the way off. my relay will not click and my check engine light will not go off so my fuel pump will prime why? have never had this problom. please help i dont think it is my fuel pump i need the wires to test or what wires can i hook up to jump my fuel pump off? to c if my fuel pump is good and i think it is good because my relay is not clicking the 3rd time and my CEL is not shutting off!
Correctly install the alarm, or completely remove it.
It is very possible that the alarm is causing the issue.
ECU? I had a problem were my cel light stayed on an it was a bad ecu
ok ill try that…
check your under hood ecu fuse. use a test light. if it’s good, check that you’re getting power to it.
if fuse is good and you have power, check the code(s).
if no codes are present, check injector pulse. one reason the cel remains lit is that no power is detected by the ecu from the injectors. if the alarm was hooked up with a shut off switch to the injectors, and you cut that, this may be your problem.
if you find any codes, report back with them
Exactly. Many alarms have fuel-pump relays that will cut the fuel delivery.
Have had that problem before. Luckily I had found the relay controlling the fuel-cut, and once removed the car would fire up.
Good advice for other avenues to try as well.
ok well if thats the case what if you have a chipped ecu would it still cut off the fuel? because i put my gsr ecu in that has suppose to been chipped and it fired right up. ok i put my p28 in it that as far as i know that is not chipped and it started right up but i put my PR4 in it that is non v tec and it did not start up. if it something in the da ecus? i mean my pr3 witch is my stock ecu off of my xsi will not start it im gonna try to my pr3 in my eg hatch c if it does not start it if it does then something weird is going on but its running for now hope that shit dont catch fire! LMAO! that would really suck ass! thanks guys ill catch up with ya tomorrow to c if my pr3 works on my hatch. and and as far as i know when your CEl stays on like that u dont here a third click in your relay you can NOT check your CEL! because its staying on for that reason! i have yet to b able to check that light when the damn thing stays on even with my 92 GSR i have it does the same damn thing some times! VERY WEIRD!

ok. i re-read your last statement. so what happens when the p28 is installed? do you hear the third click of the relay and cel goes out?
same question for all the other pcm’s you’d installed. what happens with them?
ok sorry for the run on shit lol here we go. stock ecu (Pr3) does not run my RHD and my da6 is a 92. ok the pr4 which is a 92 93 ls ecu does not run my da6. my gsr chipped ecu out of a 95 gsr does run it. my 93 p28 does run it. i have not checked if the 2 da obd 1 ecu’s run my hatchback yet. sorry guys again for the english problem! LOL
