My slow da/db build

Whats up guys, Ive been on g2 for some time now and i figured id share the build that my gf and i are about to start.

So far we picked up this da9 shell last night, and she’s in pretty rough shape mostly the front. The inside isn’t all that bad just missing a few plastic covers and drivers seat lol.

heres the first picture, really crappy quality

I also own a db1

What are your plans for it? I’m tuned in…

Always been a fan of your db

Thanks, and for now just getting it back on the road lol.

So last night we bought some new fenders and front bumper to fix the front end

Old bumper had some gashes on it and wouldn’t line up

My girlfriend installing the fenders

Its a bit hard to tell but the bumper was pushed up and sagging on one side and headlights were pushed back also.

So ive had these wheels since i bought my db an never been able to sell them so im throwing these on for a bit

Today i managed to trade the steelies for some gsr wheels

Did a a little bit of work today and cleaned the bay up a bit. Pulled the old wire harness out and this is what it looked like.

I bought a new since thr old one was all hacked and what not.

Also tomorrow im getting a resanator and test pipe installed. Anyone whos heard my car knows its freakin loud.

Another update.

I picked up a fresh b17 trans from a buddy of mine

Also a b16 trans that was sitting in the back of the teg

Havent updated in a while.

But but since last time i did a auto manual swap in my db.

while that was being done i had a traction bar made, installed a half size radiator, and bought an new header too.

Heres the clearance for it.

The header that will be going in after it gets some work is done to it

That traction bar looks like it’s really well built. Nice job.

What size wheels and tires are you running on the DB?

love that db1 looks real good… congrats db1_tegra

how much you spend to do that traccion bar ?

i want to put one on my db1 but only one i i seen is k tuned but cost almost 400.00

Thanks appreciate it.

I spent 350 on mine, but it was made for me and sits above the oil pan. reason is because i had read that most people have issues with theirs hitting when theyre low.

Most are around that price range from what ive seen too.

not much of an update at the moment but ill be posting some stuff on a turbo build im starting.

but for now this is the db

small update on the day

Bought some 92-93 taillights

Also gutted the rear of the car

i picked up and extra LS head to start building

head has been ported out

Bought some BC dual valve springs and retainers

Springs and retainers are in

few things i bought for the head

BWR cam seal and Cam gears

picked up a B20 valve cover

sanded it down a bit and cleaned it up

then painted it

that looks real good man
