My super slow cheap build thread

Ah, that’s a pretty good reason. I can see how it would be nice to have. Although what setting do you have it on? I’m am not sure what type you have but I know some models you can set shortest route, or route with least amount of traffic, ect.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 2??, I set it to shortest route and to avoid u-turns and unpaved road, it just can’t tell the difference in paved and not.

you ever try anything different? I have no clue what setting are on it so I couldn’t tell you what to try

The problem started after i updated my maps, before that it worked fine. I think the map update has something to do with it.

Started to pull off the old wore out window tint today.

Tint is pulled off for that nice no bubbles in my tint look. I’m not sure what is next, paint is not in the budget for a few months, maybe some audio and some engine bay work. Well what ever happens I’m sure some pics will be found here.

I got a Rockford Fosgate P3D12 sub if you want to buy it, haha  I wouldn’t worry about the audio if the car has some things that need to get replaced under the hood, or things that are about to need replacing. Start at your weakest link first

I was thinking a jl-4ch amp running in 3ch for some front comp’s and maybe an 8w7 or 10w6, all with an alpine head unit. As far as under the hood i was think about a ctr pulley since i don’t have A/C and will be pulling power steering, a b20b valve cover, and some lite wire tuck action. I have replace or repaired all of the old car issues already and stay on top of upkeep (the car only sees maybe 20-30 mile a month).

So I assume it’s just your Sunday car or something?

The 02’ Jetta 1.8t is daily for now
The Nissan 95’ 300zxTT is weekend toy
The integra is my long term project (I have always had a soft spot for da integras). When I was looking for my DA project I spent about 1.5 years looking for a 93’ RS to buy. In comparison to the other cars its not as nice or fast, but it is still a completely different type of fun to throw it around on a nice twisty road. This project is more of a restoration/buying what i dreamed of in high school.

I am also planing to start an aircooled project this next winter.

Loving the Nissan, those things are bad  . And the Jetta too! I’ve always liked those next to the '98 Golf. Aircooled? I’m not familiar with the term.

Air cooled like a beetle, ghia, or bus.

Ok, so no water pump or anything of the like right?

No coolent of any kind, just the air passing over/by it.

Alright I see what you mean now. Anything new with the car?

Not today, I was planing to detail and post some new pics tomorrow.

Lots of small improvements (wax, one more alignment, an oem exhaust, a free fake mugen oil cap) and an uneventful junk yard trip, but my mom took the camera with her to south Alabama. So hopefully some new pics this weekend, and maybe some from my dragons tail trip this coming Sunday.

Long time since last update. I had some computer drama. Today i changed the oil, install a B&M dual bend shorts shifter, some ES shifter bushings, and some syncro mesh tranny fluid. I’ll have some new pics up next week.

Ok, so here are some new pictures.

fake mugen Knob, B&M dual bend shifter, ITR boot.

GSR Cluster with ABS and Cruise Control removed

drivers side shot

front shot

Engine bay shot with new fake mugen oil cap!

I think it looks and runs much better than when i got it.

Nothing new, but some kid tried to break in, and I love my dog.
